There are industry events, and then there are moments that remind you exactly why you’re in this industry.
The 70th Anniversary CIADA Convention in Myrtle Beach, held in early August, wasn’t just another industry event, it was a convergence of leaders, legacy dealers, and future-shapers. For us at ARC, it wasn’t just another dot on the calendar. It was a chance to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the kind of people we’ve built this company around.
We didn’t go to be seen. We went because showing up is what we do.
We Don’t Need to Be Everywhere.
ARC isn’t about scale for scale’s sake. We’re not chasing every event or flooding every inbox. What we are doing is showing up with intention, in the rooms where the right conversations are happening, with the right people leaning in.
CIADA was one of those rooms. A full floor of independent dealers, nearly 200 strong, and the kind of leadership that shapes the tone for the Carolinas and beyond.
We had meaningful time with Marty Coates, CIADA’s Chief Operating Officer, who brings not only strategic vision to the association but a clear commitment to elevating the independent dealer community through education and professionalism. We’re already exploring ways to align that mission with ours.
We connected with Darla Boohur, the incoming CIADA President and a strong operator in her own right. Her energy, clarity, and openness to collaboration were a standout, exactly the kind of leadership this industry needs more of.
And then there was Dale Matthew, dealer principal of Matthews Automotive and a respected voice on CIADA’s Executive Board. Dale doesn’t waste words. When he leans into a conversation, it’s because he sees value. That matters to us.
These weren’t just casual chats. They were real moments of alignment, shared values, shared respect, and shared urgency to build something better for dealers.
Familiar Faces. Real Relationships.
We talk a lot at ARC about the long term vision, intention and lasting partnerships. That message came to life when we ran into Wendy and Brian Pisor, owners of Northside Auto Sales, CIADA board leadership, and deeply embedded members of the ARC ecosystem.
They’re not new to us. They’re part of us.
From F&I Bootcamps to consulting with Jason Caley, from ARC Warranty to dual membership in our Adonis and Artemis 20 Groups, Wendy and Brian embody what being a part of ARC Nation looks like in action: sharp operators, community-minded, always evolving.
When Brian offered to record a testimonial on the spot, it wasn’t marketing. It was a shared belief, in this industry, in this model, in the work we’re doing together.
Why We Do What We Do
We didn’t walk away from CIADA with just leads or handshakes, we walked away with alignment. The kind that happens when your values meet the moment.
We support dealers, not as vendors, but as partners. We build programs that matter because we’ve been in their shoes. We don’t show up to pitch, we show up to ask better questions, to offer clarity, and to prove that better is possible.
ARC isn’t trying to be everywhere.
We’re building something for the people who get it.
And when we show up in the right rooms, they find us.
That’s ARC Nation. That’s why we go. And that’s how we grow.
If you’re a dealer who’s serious about leveling up, whether it’s people, process, or profitability, we should talk.
